Stop guessing. Start measuring.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, returning to sport or simply wanting to understand how your body is performing, VALD testing gives you objective answers. Instead of relying on how things feel, we measure how your body is actually functioning. Because confidence comes from knowing.

Why Choose VALD Testing?

Recovery isn’t always as simple as pain disappearing. You might feel ready to return to running, sport or work but is your body actually ready? Our eyes can only see so much. VALD allows us to measure what we can’t see, helping identify hidden strength deficits, movement asymmetries and balance issues that may increase your risk of re-injury.

Rather than saying “I think you’re ready,” we can show you the evidence.

Who Is VALD Testing For?

VALD isn’t just for elite athletes.

It’s for anyone who wants confidence in how their body is performing.

It may be suitable if you are:

  • Recovering from surgery
  • Returning after an injury
  • Preparing to return to sport
  • Experiencing ongoing weakness
  • Wanting to reduce injury risk
  • Looking to improve overall strength
  • Interested in establishing a baseline before training
  • Unsure why pain keeps returning

Whether your goal is running a marathon or keeping up with your grandchildren, understanding your body is the first step.

What to Expect

Your VALD Assessment takes approximately 45–60 minutes and is completed with one of our experienced clinicians using our state-of-the-art VALD testing systems.

During your assessment, we’ll guide you through a series of simple movements that include:

  • Strength testing
  • Balance assessments
  • Jump and landing analysis
  • Functional movement assessment

Throughout the session, we collect objective data to measure how your body is performing. Your results are reviewed immediately and compared with your previous assessments (if available), your left and right sides, and relevant benchmarks where appropriate.

After Your Assessment

Following your assessment, you’ll receive a comprehensive summary of your results, including:

  • Your current strengths
  • Areas that may need improvement
  • Any movement or strength imbalances identified
  • Rehabilitation or performance priorities
  • Return-to-sport readiness (where appropriate)

Based on your results, we’ll work with you to create a plan. This may include an exercise programme, recommendations for ongoing rehabilitation, or objective information to guide your physiotherapist or other healthcare provider.
